Biography
Russell is an actor and voice artist, trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama in the UK, and Carnegie Mellon University in the US.
He is currently the global voice of Expedia, and Expedia British Airways in flight campaigns on all global flights.
Other current on air campaigns include Amazon (North America), GQ, Gucci, BP, Shell, Pfizer, The Ivy Restaurant, Champneys, and Otravine.
Russell has voiced the long-running series Web of Lies for Discovery/Alibi, plays the animated role of Bounce for the YouTube kids channel’s Wimbledon Kids series, and has provided voices for many computer games including Rogue Trooper, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Vietcong.
Russell has narrated hundreds of audio books, including Being Elvis by Ray Connolly, and Faster Than A Cannonball by Dylan Jones. He received an Audible Award nomination in 2020 and a Sony Radio Award in 2005.
As an actor on screen he has appeared in Dr Who, Kick Ass, and Watergate.
His many stage credits include Old Wicked Songs at the Bristol Old Vic and Gielgud Theatre, Chicken Soup with Barley at the Tricycle Theatre, Six Characters in Search of an Author at Chichester Theatre and number one tour, Death of a Salesman at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, and Three Sisters at the Hampstead Theatre and Liverpool Everyman.
He is bidialectical, having grown up between London and the east coast of the United States.
He holds a BA in English from University College London, a post graduate diploma in acting from the Central School of Speech and Drama in the UK, and an MFA from Carnegie Mellon University in the US.
